MIX ProHigh density tote to person.

Most sites run out of floor before they run out of stock. MIX Pro stores totes double-deep in racking up to 12 metres high.

How it works.

  1. The gantry fetches the tote

A lightweight mobile gantry crane runs on rails to fetch the tote for picking. It pulls the tote and places it on a ground floor handover location.

  2. An F50 robot carries it to the operator

An F50 Tote Transfer robot picks the tote up from the handover location and takes it to the operator.

  3. The operator works the tote, then it goes back

The operator interacts with the tote, either by picking stock or decanting stock. When completed, the robot takes the tote back to the handover and the gantry puts the tote back into storage.

The gantry is powered by a sliding contact line and moves horizontally to the tote location it needs. Retrievals are faster and there is no downtime for charging.

Frequently asked questions

How high does MIX Pro store?

Racking reaches 12 metres, with single-deep or double-deep bays. Tote spacing is 20 millimetres and aisle width is 900 millimetres, which is what turns the height into density rather than just tall racking.

Does the system stop to charge?

No. The gantry draws its power from a sliding contact line rather than a battery, so there is no charging downtime to plan around. The tote transfer robots work at ground level with a free travel path and no fixed route.

What size and weight of tote does it handle?

Our standard tote is 600 x 400 mm in footprint with a customisable height. Straight walled and nestable totes are both supported, and multi-compartment totes are managed with a picking indication for each compartment.

Can you handle cartons or variable size goods?

Yes. Our new flexible gripper allows storage of cartons, totes or trays in the racking, of variable footprints. Enquire for more details.

How do we raise throughput once the racking is built?

A single aisle supports more than one gantry, and the system dispatches across them. Throughput is raised by adding gantries and tote transfer robots rather than by rebuilding the racking.
