MIX 4.0Pallets, pods and totes in one system.

An extension of the Mushiny shelf-to-person solution, offering higher density and better ergonomics. Mix totes with bulky and fast-moving goods, stored on pallets or shelf pods, and pick them in one system.

How it works.

  1. The AMR lifts a whole pod

A T6 series AMR drives under a pod of totes, lifts it and carries it to the MIX workstation.

  2. The pod queues at the workstation

The workstation has two queuing positions, so the next pod is already waiting while the current one is worked.

  3. The workstation finds the tote

AI visual recognition and positioning identify the tote the order needs, so nothing waits on a code scan.

  4. One tote comes off the pod

The workstation takes that single tote off the pod and presents it to the picker. There are two picking positions.

  5. Hot items wait beside the picker

36 buffer bins hold hot items at the workstation, which reduces handling tasks by 5%.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between MIX 4.0 and Shelf-to-Person?

MIX 4.0 offers higher density and better ergonomics than a shelf-to-person system. Manual shelves for fast-moving or bulky items can be added to the grid to expand the SKU range.

When would we choose MIX 4.0 over MIX Pro?

MIX 4.0 is the choice when the breadth of the range is the problem, because it holds pallets, pods and totes together. MIX Pro is the choice when height and density are the problem and the range is tote-suited throughout, because it stores double-deep to 12 metres.

How fast does one workstation run?

Up to 240 tote presentations an hour. It holds 36 buffer locations for hot items and runs two queuing and two picking positions, so the picker is not waiting between pods.
